Bloggers Pets - Jane saved Jericho and Jericho saved Boo
Written by tdomf_3ad88 on April 26th, 2008Jane from Pet Rescuer Central is a huge Jericho fan. She was having difficulty finding a home for her adored dog Arabelle but through some cross networking, during her campaign to save Jericho Season 2, she managed to find Boo a temporary foster home.
So I guess in some weird way Jericho returned the favor to Jane.
Jane obviously loves Boo to bits, here is the little bit of text she sent to me:
Arabelle (Boo) is my 16 month old Lab/Beagle mix. Last year I had to move so had to place her, temporarily, with a friend in Indiana. Boo’s story is unique and I wish I had room here to tell you all of it. Suffice it to say, Boo will be coming back home in a few months. She is the love of my life.
I wanted to know a little bit more about Boo’s story and that’s how I found out about the Jericho situation. She sent me a few links where you can read a little bit more about this fantastic story:

Jericho Monster is an essential for any fan of Jericho. Currently pushing to save the third season, this blog played a major part in saving Jericho Season 2. Here you can keep up with all the latest news and even get extras such as cast interviews.
Margie and Edna’s Basement is Jane and Beth’s entertainment blog. Jane and Edna are originally two residents of Jericho but the blog has branched out now into many areas.

Thank you so much for writing about my Boo. This story is even more incredible when you hear the obstacles we had to overcome to get everything taken care of. Boo is safe and sound and she’ll be coming home in Aug. or Sept.

Jane the pleasure is all mine.
When I started doing the Bloggers Pets series I never knew what to expect and if people would take to it. Well they did and I have had some great photos. I have 3 more lined up and hopefully by the time they have been posted there will be more waiting.
It’s a great way for people to involve themselves here, I think! I wanted this new blog to be more social than things I have done before.
Anytime you post about Boo, let me know. And I expect some photos on her happy return

This story was one of the best things to come out of the whole fight for Jericho. While it was fabulous that the fans could help revive a beloved television show, as we all say in the fandom, real life comes first. Well, this was real life to the extreme. Seeing how the network scrambled to help find Arabelle a foster living situation so Jane wouldn’t have to give up ownership of her beloved Boo was more than anyone could have expected from a movement to save a TV show.

Hey Amy, thanks for stopping by.
The great thing about this story is that people acted together. It’s a bit of a grand thing to think about but people acting together to save things they love, is exactly what could help this world in the long run.
You were drawn together by a common interest and helped one of your own. Boo looks great and I am enjoying reading about her story. In fact I really would like to sit down and read the whole thing from start to present.
I am so glad that Jane is getting her back. I have wanted a dog ever since I was a teenager and our family dog had to be put to sleep. Sadly, as an adult, I have not been still and settled long enough to give a dog a loving home.
I think getting a pet is a decision that is just as important as deciding to get a mortgage, or get a new car or even as far as saying, in some cases it’s as important as planning a child. That animal needs your 100% devotion to have a happy, healthy life.
