Sadly..... there are only 2 of the Zoo's 41 rays remaining as we speak :(

The water has been tested and was withing acceptable range and now it's just a waiting game for full toxology reports.

This is very sad but I will bring a full update when they know what actually happned. It will be several weeks from now :( :( :(

Forest Parkss last blog post..<a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/BlogAboutAnimals/~3/298034491/" rel="nofollow">The Phoenix has landed on Mars! Will this change life as we know it?</a>

That is so sad. I hope they're able to figure out the cause of all the deaths so Toronto doesn't suffer the same fate.

Thanks for your very intelligent reply.

I can't agree more. It's so sad that this has happened and really do think the Zoo will be able to build on this and create a better conservation and educational environment.

This is so tragic. I had the pleasure of seeing the rays a week ago today and actually spent a good amount of time at the tank learning about an animal I had previously known nothing about.

The lady that taught me so much (I'm afraid I can't remember her name) was genuinely affectionate of the animals and passionate for their wellbeing. This is why it makes me angry that already those opposed to zoos are using this to push their cause. If the Calgary Zoo could be found negligent at all here I'm certain that we will learn that it was only in believing people were generally better than they are.

It's tragic both in loss of life, and in the possible loss of what I found to be the most educational exhibit the Calgary Zoo has had in a while.
